Light + Dark

In the wasteland of refusal the swarms sink,
Down to the bottom of the bottomless swamp pits
With heart’s in their stomach’s
Stomach’s in their throat
They face their dreaded demons
They face themselves

At the end of that dark road
In the light beyond the sludge
We find a tiny  lady
With a little man
Their hearts as big as melons
Their love as huge as oaks
Their journeys still go on
But are made entwined.

In the unlit paths of death and pain
We may seem lost when we are found
Shun a help when we are down.
But careful where u tread
In this maze of the Un-dead
For your new life may be around the corner
Or your doom.

In the shining of the sun
During days of moonlit fun
We see the tiny little lady
And her tiny little man
Their love so big and strong
We wish we could be that way
with paths entwining ever long
But maybe it wasn’t meant to be
For people just like you and me
People who walk the paths
And find each other regularly
Maybe its not for us..

Look closely at what has been said
Sometimes our paths are the same to tread
We’ve found each other once again
The light becomes our place.
